Extension, no raise for MSU's Mullen

Following a first year in Starkville that saw him sitting at home for the postseason with a 5-7 record, head coach Dan Mullen will be rewarded with a one-year contract extension from Mississippi State, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger is reporting.

However, the extension will not include a raise to his $1.2 million salary.

The contract, which still must be approved by the College Board, would keep Mullen through the 2013 season.

MSU better pay this guy, he is going to be a good head coach and he will bolt for another job unless they keep him happy
