Ole Miss player dies during workout

There’s even more sobering news to report on this evening as Ole Miss walk-on safety Bennie Abram passed away earlier this morning, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger is reporting.

While the details are scant at this point in time, the paper reports that Abram died during an on-campus workout this morning.

The cause of death is not known, and won’t be known, coroner Rocky Kennedy told the paper, for 2-5 weeks depending on the tests that are performed.

Our condolences go out to all of those connected to Abram, especially his family and friends.
