Ten days ago, Jim Harbaugh hired former Illinois head coach and Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner to be a part of his Stanford coaching staff.
This morning? Apparently, Turner really, really missed the NFL.
According to Tom Dienhart of Rivals.com, Turner has left his post as quarterbacks and wide receivers coach to coach the Indianapolis Colts receivers.
Turner’s hiring was officially announced by the school on February 17.
Turner spent the past five seasons as the Bears’ coordinator, and was in charged of the Illini football program from 1997-2004.
and the downfall of the colts begins!please oh please let him work with manning! yea I know it says recievers coach but maybe he can slip in the qb meetings to offer peyton some advice.didn’t their o.c. moore retire? maybe this is just the colts way to ease turner and offensive genius into the position. how does this incompetant moron keep getting jobs? didn’t he prove he had no clue by the work he did in chicago?
You can’t teach an old dog bad tricks…I’m sure Peyton will be fine (unfortunately).
