After playing in just one game in the last three years due to injury, Arizona State wide receiver Brandon Smith is the recipient of a sixth year of eligibility.
The school announced today via a press release that “Smith has been granted an extension of eligibility to his five-year clock.”
Smith missed all of the 2007 and 2009 seasons with an injury, while he played in just one game in 2008.
After redshirting in 2005, Smith appeared in 11 games in 2006, starting two and totaling six catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
He’ll have his doctorate before he’s done playing.
