Neuheisel gives guard 'one last chance'

Nearly three months after being suspended by head coach Rick Neuheisel, offensive lineman Stan Hasiak has been reinstated by the UCLA football program.

The sophomore was suspended on Dec. 21 for violating unspecified team rules.

Now, however, the 6-5, 320-pounder has found his way out of Neuheisel’s doghouse and back into the coach’s good graces.

“Stan has done everything we have asked of him during the Winter Quarter,” Neuheisel said in a statement. “He has made some mistakes and has tried to correct them. After speaking with our coaching staff and our players, I felt like he deserved one last chance to be part of our team.”

Hasiak was a member of the Bruins’ 2009 recruiting class, and was a four-star recruit rated as the No. 4 player in the country at his position by Rivals.com coming out of high school.

He will be available for spring practice.

He may have been the #4 OG or OL in the country but there is no way he was the #4 player in the country!

Yep, should’ve read “at his position”. Corrected, and gracias.
