Vincent Smith, the likely candidate to take over for Brandon Minor as Michigan’s starting running back, is one of six Wolverines who will miss spring practice due to injury, AnnArbor.com is reporting.
Smith’s unavailability for the spring is not unexpected as it was announced back in December that he would likely miss the sessions. Smith suffered a torn ACL toward the end of last season, but said in February that his goal was to come back for summer camp and win the starting job.
Smith’s 276 yards are the most of any returning running back.
In addition to Smith, center David Molk (ACLs), receiver Junior Hemingway (knee), linebacker Brandon Herron (knee), defensive tackle Mike Martin (shoulder) and special-teamer Zac Johnson (shoulder) are also out for the entire spring.
The only one that should miss spring practice is………..Rich Rod!!

Didn’t they use up all their practice time for the next 2 seasons during the 08 year?
