Former Vol, Seminole headed for Bowden reunion

A contentious departure from Bobby Bowden and Florida State led to Brandon Warren ending up at Tennessee.

A sideline meltdown directed at his position coach in 2009 led the former Freshman All-American to be booted from the Volunteers football program.

Now, the mercurial receiver could be headed for a reunion with another member of the Bowden coaching clan.

According to the St. Petersburg Times, Warren seems headed to North Alabama, whose coach is Terry Bowden.  Warren had hoped to return to the Volunteers, but new head coach Derek Dooley told reporters Thursday that the program would not “let him back because he has a record of a lot of team violations that were so great it would be unfair to let him back. It would be unfair to the rest of the team.”

Two schools, three head coaches, two controversial departures.  Yeah, this will end well.
