For those of you tired of the Cirque de Seantrel experience, we apologize in advance for the following post.
Seantrel Henderson, the top player in the nation according to most of the recruiting services, was supposed to sign his Letter of Intent to Southern Cal last Thursday after a month and a half delay. “Scheduling logistics” — whatever that means — pushed the signing back to sometime this coming week.
The offensive tackle told Bob Sansevere of the St. Paul Pioneer Press that the latest plan is to have a public signing of the LOI on Tuesday. However, the answers he gave to some of the questions posed to him about possibly switching his commitment to another school left the door slightly open for the possibility of a change of heart.
BS: Is there any chance you’ll change your mind about Southern Cal? That’s what people are wondering.
SH: I’ve been hearing some stuff, too. But no, I don’t think so. I’m still kind of thinking a little bit, but I don’t think so.
BS: Are you still thinking about another school?
SH: Ah, no, no. Not really. Not really. Just thoughts.
So, there you have it. Henderson will sign with the Trojans this coming week. Probably.
In fairness to the lineman, he did answer with a definitive “Yes sir” when asked if it was still going to be Southern Cal.
