Well, it’s official: Lane Kiffin is sexier than a professional women’s golfer.
And, because of said sexiness, the USC head coach is off to the second round of Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive tournament.
After a brief scare early on in the process, No. 16 seed Kiffin built a commanding lead over No. 1 seed Natalie Gulbis and ultimately locked down a first-round upset by the count of 56 percent to 44 percent.
Unfortunately for all concerned, though, the highly anticipated match-up between Kiffin and ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews will not materialize. Andrews, Queen of All the Internets, was upset by racer Danica Patrick after the Go Daddy girl staged a massive comeback via Twitter to upend Andrews 57 percent to 43 percent.
Voting for the second-round Kiffin-Patrick tilt begins on Monday.
As always, vote early, vote often, and vote with your heart. God knows Kiffin deserves it.
