Earlier today, we noted a speech from Vice President Joe Biden at a memorial service for the 29 miners killed in an explosion at a West Virginia mine earlier this month.
In the speech, Biden, speaking about what the miners were all about, said that “they hated the way Coach Rodriguez left West Virginia for Michigan.” The transcription of Biden’s remarks then said that comment was followed by applause from the audience.
Now, there are golf claps and then there’s thunderous applause. The crowd’s reaction is much, much more the latter than the former. The relevant material starts at the 2:10 mark of the clip unearthed by our buddy SportsByBrooks:
Again, West Virginians, you guys are awesome!
So Rich Rod built up that program and then left, because he was offered one of the top five jobs in college football. Why not call him out at a funeral for 29 coal miners? Seems fair.
I think Michigan fans now hate not only the way he left, but that he left at all. Worst decision ever, on both sides.
Buckeye fans LOVE the way he oozed out of WVU and slimed up in the University of Ugly Helmets… MMMuuuuaaaahhhh haaaa haa haaaaaaa
Rich Rodriguez was a great coach…. but along the way…. his ENORMOUS EGO (HEAD) got in the way. Karma is for real>>>> now he is “reaping what he has been sowing”>> I am dissappointed in him and his so called integrity >>> and even sorry for MICHIGAN!!!
