Considering the fact that, ya know, Lane Kiffin is involved, it’s been a relatively quiet first spring for the new USC head coach.
And then Jordan Campbell had to come along and spoil the serenity.
The linebacker, the Los Angeles Daily News is reporting, is on the verge is on the verge of getting kicked off the football team. Campbell was reinstated earlier this month after being suspended for missing classes/tutoring sessions.
Other than to say he was not arrested, Kiffin would not divulge what’s led Campbell to be on the precipice of a dismissal from the program.
“Something came up,” Kiffin said. “It’s something we heard something about. We’re in the position we’re always in. Deciding if it’s accurate.”
