Handed out annually since 2000, the Rimington Trophy committee has released its 2010 Spring Watch List, the organization announced on its official website.
Named in honor of former Nebraska great Dave Rimington, the award is given to the nation’s top collegiate center.
This year’s list includes 37 individuals from the Div. 1-A level, with the ACC leading the way with six players named, followed by the Pac-10 and Big 12 with five apiece.
The first recipient of the award was, appropriately enough, Nebraska’s Dominic Raiola; last year’s winner was Florida’s Maurkice Pouncey.
