The unexpected has reigned supreme at the Big 12′s spring meetings the past 24 hours, but one expected occurrence has officially come to fruition.
In his first press conference since the ‘net went batsh-t crazy over the rumored raiding of his conference by the Pac-10, commissioner Dan Beebe announced that he has been authorized by the league’s board to extend their relationship with Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
So, as expected, the conference’s championship games will be played at the Arlington site through the 2013 season. Both last year’s and this year’s game were played at Jerry Jones’ new digs, so this extension covers the 2011, 2012 and 2013 seasons.
No agreement was reached — much to the delight of Tom Osborne, no doubt — to “anchor” the game there permanently.
Bye bye Big XII

Stupid move. hitch your wagon to one state. Texas is one heck of a state, but putting all your eggs in one basket is foolish. But, Beebe has not been known as competent from many folks around College Football as of late.
Beebe even knows the conference is done.

It’s ending like it started, all because of Texas.
