Masoli Ducks up again, could be QB's final strike

When Jeremiah Masoli pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery on March 12, he was immediately suspended by head coach Chip Kelly for the entire 2010 season, but with the proviso that he could return for the 2011 season.

Based on Masoli’s conduct earlier this week, his future in Eugene is very much in doubt and, possibly, up in smoke.

(You’ll see what I did there here in a second.)

According to the Eugene Register-Guard, Masoli was pulled over by Springfield police Monday night and hit the citation trifecta: possessing less than one ounce of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and failure to stop at a driveway or a sidewalk.

Given the very recent recent and serious nature of Masoli’s previous issue, it seems highly unlikely that Kelly would have any other choice but to boot the quarterback off his team.  For good.

This is Oregon we are talking about.
Masoli has at LEAST 4 more chances coming his way.

What a joke Oregon has become. I guess that they have succeeded in becoming truely a big time football program… Careful what you wish for.
