Well, that certainly didn’t take long.
A little over an hour after news broke that suspended Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli had been arrested yet again, a decision has been made on his future in the program. And, needless to say, it’s not a positive outcome for a player who was projected as a 2010 Heisman contender as recently as a few months ago.
According to the football program’s official Twitter account, “Masoli has been dismissed from the Oregon Football program effective immediately.”
And, with that oh-so-brief statement on a social media site, yet another once-promising collegiate career has come screeching to a halt.
Good luck at whatever Div. 1-AA or lower school you opt for next, Masoli. Or in the room with bars obstructing your view. One of the two.
How is it that these kids with a talent that is recognized by an organization (NFL) willing to pay you millions to showcase it, are not smart enough to just walk the line until a payday?
I suspect that it is a learned behavior from (in chronological order):
1. Bad Parenting
2. Bad Environment (read friends)
3. Entitlement
4. Tolerance from teachers, coaches, schools
5. Over Confidence
6. No Discipline
I have no sympathy for them. If you are that stupid to dump a payday then I laugh at your misfortune and ignorance.
Masoli was a joke and will be remember for losing the Rose Bowl to the Luckeyes!!
wow. I actually thought he had a decent chance to win the Heisman
Sour grapes much, Jim “Bob”? For sure, you don’t spell-check. Oregon lost to the Buckeyes. Build a bridge and get over it!
It’s about time. Chip should have kicked him off the first time when he robbed the fraternity. It even took him months to reluctantly suspend Masoli.
Hey Jim “Bob”…I’m not a Ohio State fan but come on…OSU completely and thoroughly dominated Oregon in the Rose Bowl. I would accept you saying “luckies” had this been 2002 and the BCS game again Miami but come on dude. Did you even watch the game? Oregon looked like a 1AA team against OSU. No luck about it. Ohio State had better players across the field. You say Ohio State “luckies”…I say Oregon “#ucks”..becasue you guys are seriously #ucked this year…Can you say 2-10?
