Hints that Kyle Parker's run as Clemson's QB might be done

We interrupt your regularly-scheduled expansion/sanction program for the following football break…

It’s been less than a week since Kyle Parker, Clemson baseball player, was selected in the first round of the MLB draft.

The status of Kyle Parker, the Clemson football player, has not yet been determined.  However, the Anderson Independent Mail is doing some reading between the lines and has determined — based on Parker’s comments — that the Tigers will have a new starting quarterback when the 2010 season commences.

“The biggest thing is, whenever I came to college, I always wanted to play a professional sport,” Parker told the paper. “If (baseball is) what it turns out to be, I think I have an excellent opportunity. You don’t see too many guys picked that early and makes me realize what a great opportunity it is. If I end up just focusing on one, then that’s what’s going to happen. But I’m going to sit down after the season and figure it out, run all the numbers and see if it’s worth it or not.”

The numbers that Parker will run will likely include at least a  ”2″ followed by six zeros in guaranteed money from the Colorado Rockies.

Which will likely mean a run from college football to professional baseball.  And the end of his brief but successful run as the starting quarterback at Clemson University.

It is not the University of Clemson, it is Clemson University. Might want to get those facts before you run a site on College Football. Maybe when your write about Notre Dame Univeristy, the University of Georgia Tech, and the University of North Carolina State you will get it correct.
Also remember that Kyle Parker has leverage. He can come back to college baseball and get drafted and also get drafted in the NFL next year.

    It’s Clemson University.

It is Clemson University, not University of Clemson.

University of Clemson? Terrible reporting on this site. All regurgitated articles with sloppy commentary.

    Folks,
When you attempt to be like Nick Saban, and fail to include the link that would make you very much Saban-like, you come off looking like, well, me.

Mea culpa. I’ll just stick to being what I’m good at from now on — not funny.

Man, talk about anal. Ha, even espn does it. For instance Nebraska is abbreviated NU by sports networks (Its actually UNL). KU is University of Kansas, but even the school refers to themselves as KU. Give John a break, I think it’s pretty funny how many people jump on something small like that and claim “terrible reporting”. Don’t you have better things to do?

Sorry, guess we people from the Carolina of the South take things serious. Maybe people from the Coast of the West or the Area of Mid-America do not understand it. We all are from the States that are United in America. Cannot wait to watch the Cup of the World tomorrow to see if the States that are United in America can beat the Kingdom that is United.
