Both just signed lucrative new TV deals. Both have stable, 2-division, twelve-team memberships. The ACC is in a down cycle these last four years, but clearly programs are committing to football. Other than a move that would magnitudinally raise either conferences’ profile (Texas for the SEC, Notre Dame for the ACC) why bother?
