Three UCLA signees reportedly facing felony rap

While there is little hard information to report right now, a trio of incoming UCLA recruits have reportedly dipped their toes -- if not their entire lower bodies -- into quite a bit of legal hot water.

The Los Angeles Daily News has relayed what is, for now, an Internet rumor that linebacker Josh Shirley, wide receiver Paul Richardson and cornerback Shaquille Richardson have been arrested on felony theft charges.

No other details are available at this time, and a UCLA spokesperson told the Daily News that they could not comment on the issue at this time.

All three players are incoming freshman who were members of UCLA’s 2010 recruiting class. Shirley and Paul Richardson were listed as four-star recruits, while Shaquille Richardson was given three stars.

Overall, UCLA had the No. 8 recruiting class in the country according to Rivals.com.

UPDATED 3:34 p.m. ET: According to the Los Angeles Times, the three were arrested on campus by UCLA police. Paul Richardson and Shaquille Richardson were released on $20,000 bail, while Shirley was released without bail.
