Mizzou DB Jarrell Harrison arrested, suspended

We interrupt your celebration of America’s birthday to bring you an annual rite of any summer holiday season: an arrest of a college football player.

According to the Columbia Daily Tribune, safety Jarrell Harrison was arrested Friday evening and charged with shoplifting.  As a result of the arrest, Harrison has been indefinitely suspended from  all team activities.

Harrison was arrested by Columbia police after allegedly lifting an item from a Spencer’s store at the Columbia.

The senior started eight games for the Tigers in 2009 and, according to Daily Tribune, was listed as the starter at his position in spring practice until he missed a session for an undisclosed reason.
