As expected, Seantrel Henderson heading to the Hurricanes

LeBron James isn’t the only big name making South Florida his new sports home for the next few years.

According to the New York Times, and as widely expected, former USC signee Seantrel Henderson has decided to become a member of the Miami Hurricanes. Henderson’s father confirmed the move to the Times.

Henderson, arguably the top player in the 2010 recruiting class, was given an unconditional release from his USC Letter of Intent on July 6. Henderson will reportedly arrive in Miami on Aug. 3 and, according to his father, is academically qualified.

The official move to Coral Gables is the culmination of weeks of speculation and rumors that Henderson’s feet were getting cold due to sanctions handed down on the Trojans by the NCAA, and that he was leaning toward a move to the Hurricanes.
