For some reason, Sam Barrington has developed an allergy to holding a valid State of Florida driver’s license since coming to USF.
Exactly a year ago today, the Bulls linebacker was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license that stemmed from an unpaid parking ticket. This evening, it was déjà vu all over again for Barrington.
According to Greg Auman of the St. Petersburg Times, Barrington was arrested and jailed today on an outstanding warrant related to a June citation for, you guessed it, driving with a license that’s been cancelled, suspended or revoked with knowledge.
Auman reports that it’s the sixth time in 13 months Barrington has been pulled over for traffic violations.
(Memo to Barrington: Go green, get a bicycle. Or a bus pass.)
Barrington, who started one game as a true freshman in 2009, is penciled in as the starter at middle linebacker for Skip Holtz‘s Bulls.
Another USF Bull with a second driver’s license related issue??? What the….?
This seems to be hold over problem from the era of “Mr Mediocrity” – Jim Leavitt. The Bulls are becoming known for this issue and it usually stems from non-payment of child support.
