Texas moves UTEP game to 2016

The Texas Longhorns have agreed to move their home football game against UTEP from 2012 to 2016, says the Austin-American Statesman. The move was made to accommodate Texas’ new nine-game schedule in the Big 12.

With the departure of Colorado and Nebraska, the Big 12 Lite will move to a round-robin schedule. As a result, one non-conference game was dropped and UTEP will be spared a shellacking at the hands of the Longhorns at least until 2016.

The Miners have replaced their game against Texas with a trip to Madison to take on the Wisconsin Badgers.
