Kentrell Lockett battled his way back from a heart condition that kept him out of Ole Miss’ season opener.
Unfortunately for Lockett, ligaments in one of his knees have ultimately scuttled his 2010 season.
Saying it was a tough thing both physically and emotionally, head coach Houston Nutt announced Sunday that the senior defensive end will miss the remainder of the 2010 season with a torn ACL.
Lockett, one of five Mississippi co-captains, suffered the injury during the Rebels’ 55-38 win over Fresno State.
