BYU fires defensive coordinator

That didn’t take long.

One day after BYU’s 31-16 loss to Utah State, head coach Bronco Mendenhall has decided he’s had enough and has fired defensive coordinator and secondary coach Jaime Hill.

Mendenhall will take over defensive coordinator duties himself.

This season, BYU has given up just under 29 points per game and has given up over 400 yards in each of their four straight losses.

Hill was brought on to BYU in 2006 as the secondaries coach but was promoted to DC in 2008.
