Late night munchies: Taco Bell siesta equals charges for Baylor duo

Of the many pieces of sage advice my father bestowed upon me during my formative years, the one that really resonated involved what not to do when seeking a cure for late-night hunger.

“Never, ever pass-out in the drive-through lane of a fast food restaurant at 2 o’clock in the morning.*"

Unfortunately for a pair of Baylor Bears, it appears they were never on the receiving end of such parental wisdom.

Regardless, and according to the Associated Press, sophomore wide receivers Willie Jefferson and Josh Gordon were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana following an incident early Sunday morning. Specifically, the dope duo were found passed out at 2 a.m. in the drive-through lane of a campus Taco Bell.

Both Cheech and Chong were released following the arrests on their own recognizance.

Head coach Art Briles is aware of the charges, but had no comment other than to say that he “fails to understand why the hell Taco Bell doesn’t deliver. There’s a fortune to be made there.**"

(*my dad didn’t actually say that; that’s just %&#! I wish my dad would say, which might make make a helluva twitter feed-turned-TV sitcom now that I think of it.)
