With the afterglow of a huge upset win over South Carolina still casting a wide swath of positivity across the state, you would expect the University of Kentucky football players to have spent today basking in the adulation they’ve received from a potentially program-defining victory.
While that may be the case for some/most players, not all of them are thrilled with the “atmosphere” that surrounded one of the biggest wins in the school’s recent history.
Specifically, all-everything wide receiver Randall Cobb is pissed over how he and his Wildcats were treated by the home crowd. And, as is oft times the case these days, Cobb took his grievances to Twitter.

The good news for Cobb and UK is that the tweets from earlier today have since been deleted. The bad news is that anything posted on the Internet is forever and immortal, as evidenced by the above screen snaps.
And people wonder why coaches continue banning their players from using Twitter during the season?
And everything he said was true.
Why was it a huge upset? South carolina’s victory over Alabama was a fluke, they are overrated. Lattimore is talented, Garcia is not, and spurrier’s reputation got them this high. I almost laugh thinking that people were talking national title after last week. Face it, east USC will never be more than a middle of the pack sec team, at par with Kentucky.
If he cares so much about respect then why did he choose to play football at Kentucky?
I was hoping it was former pugilist and noted thespian Randall Tex Cobb…his role in ‘Raising Arizona’ was unparalleled in cinematic history
I thought this was going to be about Randall “Tex” Cobb, the boxer, not some nobody. Sorry.
I did not a 60 year old could play football! Oh not that Randall Cobb. Well at least he called out the fake SEC fans!
Yea, I hope the recruits remember this is a Basketball school first, and there is no second. Go to a football school.
Cobb is a typical player in today’s environment, it’s all about him and what he does. Did he even consider that the reason the stadium wasn’t filled because of their poor play? I say that players like him can just hit the road and find someone else to give him a free ride. Kentucky has made it possible for him to potentially make a wad of money in the pros. If he doesn’t make it there, every door will be opened for him because he played football at UK. The rest of the students don’t have that advantage and they have to pay their way. I think it is time to stop these whiners and let them learn a lesson in life, that things don’t always go perfect. He needs to apologize and learn how a gentleman acts and not some spoiled brat. That would take him further in life than football ever could take him.
I agree with the above comments. However, I also agree with Randall Cobb. Even though Kentucky is usually thought of as a “basketball” school”, every team should be supported! How do you expect a team to get pumped and start a game with momentum if no one shows up to show their support? Fans need to support their team through the good AND the bad!
Oh and one more thing… @fiveiron Randall Cobb is actually a very talented athlete. Show a little more respect!

That. Was. Awesome!!!
One of the most underrated movies of all-time.
Every team should have support… but welcome to the world of the olympic (non-rev) sport athletes. We’re excited with a crowd of ten
