When it comes to icing the kicker, Georgia takes it to another level.
Calling timeout? Please. Child’s play.
In last Saturday’s Florida-Georgia game (or the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party for those of you who really know what’s up), Mark Richt‘s timeout to freeze Florida kicker Chas Henry just wasn’t enough.
In fact, Bulldog assistant coach Todd Grantham decided to take it a step further by going straight for the jugular — literally. In what can only be described as a hilarious/failed attempt at reverse psychology, Grantham began making choking motions with his hands and screaming at Henry “You’re gonna *****’ choke! You’re gonna choke!”
Then, of course, Henry gave the ultimate middle finger by kicking the game-winning field goal as Florida beat Georga *again* 34-31 in overtime. Your move, Sherlock.
Don’t be so down on the Dawgs, they were desperate. Having now lost 18 of the last 21 to the hated Gators……..
@Blitz4848
yep that one hurt but the this stat is the only stat, Georgia leads the series vs florida. So that makes me a little happy.
@ blitz:
I watched this game and did not see that jesture but I bet he sure has regretted it sense. Talking about giving a kicker incentive to split the uprights….Yep should has kept his hands and mouth shut……LOL!
The coach put a hand to his throat
suggesting the kicker would choke.
He felt no regret,
hoped all would forget.
I’m sure later he’ll claim he misspoke.
