Three-year o-line starter to return to BYU

When BYU takes the field next season as a football independent, they’ll do so with the services of the most experienced member of their defensive line.

According to the Deseret News, offensive tackle Matt Reynolds has decided to eschew --for now -- a shot at the NFL and will instead return to the Cougars for another season.

Reynolds had submitted his paperwork to the NFL’s draft advisory committee in order to gauge where he may be taken in this April’s draft; apparently, the feedback wasn’t sufficient to push him away from the collegiate ranks early.

The junior has started every game on BYU’s line since the start of the 2008 season. He’s been selected as a first-team All-Mountain West Conference each of the past two seasons.
