New Indiana offensive coordinator headed back to Boise?

Hired less than two weeks ago as Indiana’s offensive coordinator, Brent Pease has, obviously, not yet coached a game for the Hoosiers and new head coach Kevin Wilson.

Based on at least one report, he won’t be achieving that seemingly modest feat at any point in the near or distant future, either.

Take it with a grain of salt the size of, well, a television station, but a Boise television station is reporting that Pease is headed back to Boise State to become the Broncos’ offensive coordinator. KBOI cited multiple unnamed sources as the basis for their report.

Additionally, the station also noted that BSU defensive back George Iloka tweeted the following earlier today: “So Coach Pease is back ....Congrats again I guess...” Iloka’s Twitter account is protected, and thus his tweets aren’t viewable by confirmed followers.

Chris Petersen is in search of a new coordinator to replace Bryan Harsin, who left late this past week for the same job at Texas.

Pease, officially hired by Indiana Dec. 30, spent the past five seasons as BSU’s wide receivers coach. The past four seasons he also carried the title of assistant head coach.
