Todd Graham-to-Pitt talk heating up

Tulsa has already all but officially lost their offensive coordinator to Clemson.

Now, they might be on the verge of losing that coach’s boss as well.

Head coach Todd Graham has already interviewed at least once for the same job at Pittsburgh. And, while the school still has interviews to conduct Sunday -- ex-Florida defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, Stanford assistant Greg Roman -- the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Graham and Pitt have already begun discussing money.

While the Post-Gazette is careful to point out there’s been no official job offer yet, the paper does note that the financial gap that exists between Graham’s camp and the school has closed significantly over the past 24 hours.

Graham makes $1.3 million at Tulsa, and it appears Pitt would need to get in the neighborhood of $2 million in order to entice him away from his current position.

It appears, though, that if the gap in the numbers being tossed around by the two sides continues to shrink, Graham stands a chance to become the third head coach the Panthers have had in the past month.
