Why I envy the SEC:
(1) “SEC West lost only one game this year that was not against another SEC West team.” Welcome to the SEC West, Ohio State (Arkansas), South Carolina (Alabama), Jacksonville State (Mississippi), Vanderbilt (Mississippi), and Tennessee (Mississippi). I know, math is hard, but if you keep working at it, you’ll get it someday!
(2) Challenging Out-of-Conference Games. Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, and Chattanooga were all tough contests for Auburn as they prepared for the National Championship Game. The rest of the division is even worse. Case in point: Georgia Southern didn’t even have a football program last year. Roll Tide!!!
(3) Willingness to Play Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime. To prove it, Auburn scheduled San Jose State on Sept. 4th. Wait, wasn’t someone suggesting Boise State stinks because they play SJSU? Hmmmm…
(4) Ability to skip 75% of the first eight BCS Championships. Tennessee (1998) and LSU (2003) were both great teams. Sadly, the 2007 LSU team deserved inclusion just like the Seattle Seahawks deserve to win the Super Bowl this year (I hope they do). The SEC’s dominance is unprecedented (the last five in a row) in an admittedly rigged system. Sadly, the SEC’s rise to the top is as recent and meteoric as Boise State’s. See, you do have something in common!!!

“Patsy schedule? Really? Whose schedule would you prefer Boise State play?”

Anybody can get ‘up’ for one game, and win 10 games when you play one quality opponent and the rest are San Jose St-like. No way Boise St has 10 win seasons every year if they had to play Alabama, then LSU the next week, Auburn the next week, then Mississippi St the next week…

The entire SEC West would have gone undefeated if they had played San Jose St every week, and then one top team. (Hint: The SEC West lost only one game this year that was not against another SEC West team, and that was to the SEC East Champions).

Your SEC envy is funny.

Since I’m a fan of “Really? with Seth and Amy,” here goes:

Wuss? Really? What does a BCS coach have to do to retain their job? If you answered “win a national championship each year,” you are correct. The expectations are so ridiculous that I’m not surprised Peterson wants to keep building a program.

Urban Meyer brought Florida twice as many national championships as the school’s entire history prior to 2005. Some Gator fans were calling for his head after a lackluster year this year. Really, Florida? No one is surprised he’s retiring to look after his health… and his back…

Really, linedrivehit? You think Peterson couldn’t play with the big boys? Name a 4-star recruit he’s had during his ridiculous string of 10+ win seasons. I don’t like Boise State personally, are you really going to argue about their success in making something big out of nothing. Really? Really?

Patsy schedule? Really? Whose schedule would you prefer Boise State play? Should they play eight home games in Tuscaloosa? How about never leave the Horseshoe to play other teams from the great state of Ohio? Really? Enjoy your delusions of grandeur, sir.
