Please bring in a OC thats worth a darn!!! Someone who can develop a quarterback... We cant go through another season of unproductive offense, Leslie's luck will eventualy run out... Thats being said, if Les is our guy, then I support him! Looks like LSU will be a preseason top 5!!

LSU isn't as stupid as I thought. This time they realized they were being snookered (Miles had no intention of ever going to Michigan) and held out until Miles played his Michigan visit card.
Then they must have put it on the line that hey, we will give you an extension but no pay raise buddy.

Their ya go LSU... reward the guy for turning down his dream job with a "NO-Raise" extension. Not even sure when the last time that was accomplished?

We admired Miles since he was with Coach McCartney. We did not know at the time he was also mentored by Coach Bo, but learned that later and it deepened our admiration. Now that he turned down more money to move north and apparently likes our Cajun cuisine, temperate weather, strong fan base, great recruiting area, local, regional, and national media exposure, he is a class act. We must agree with the OC observation. We do not know who is best to fill that position that already does not have a good job and likes where they are.

I agree with Drozman about the evolution of the game comment, however, there was a time when LSU football sank too - aka the Hallman/Gerry Dinardo years. So that's just to make the point that maybe it's not so much evolution it's just the cycle. I do think with the right coach, and patience from the administration, that UM can have a good program again - but it's a total wreck right now and the keyword to me for UM is patience.

I wasn't ever a Miles fan until he decided to turn down more money to return home - assuming an offer was made. And now with reports coming out that he's told OC Crowton to move on, I'm starting to like him more and more. I think if LSU can bring in an OC with some imagination, this could be another really good few years ahead.

Maybe after talking to UM he truly didn't want the job or UM didn't lie what he had to say. As of right now the LSU job is a better job than UM. Next year he can make a Natl Tille run. UM will be trying to get to any bowl.

Stay in the SEC where recruiting is easier with better weather and better NFL prep for prospects. Since 1998 5 of 12 SEC schools have Natl Champ. That puts you on TV more and attracts more NFL observers on a game by game basis.

I hope it isn't so, but UM is following in NDs path...remember when Army and Navy where #1 contenders? Me either, but they used to be. Maybe it's just evolution of the game.

Well done Coach! No raise, but "incentive bonuses" is a great sign! Get the team another SEC championship and get a bonus! Get the team to another national championship (isn't that the same as the SEC championship, sorry for the redundancy!) and get a bonus! Beat Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt in the East SEC and then beat Arkansas, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Auburn in their division, the East SEC and get a bonus! Depending upon the bonus, he may be making Saban salary soon! A Class man, a class program, thanks Coach Miles. We will be making some great Cajun food soon and will try to get some to you and your staff. Merci beaucoup! Geaux Tigers!
