Arkansas is doing its part to keep up with the ever increasing need for top-notch facilities in college football.
Today, the university unveiled the drawings for a new, $35 million football operations center, which is set to begin construction sometime this year.
The 80,000-square-foot facility will house new coaches offices, locker rooms, team meeting rooms, training rooms, equipment rooms, lounges, a study area and football museum. The total time of construction is projected to be 18 months.
However, there’s been no word yet on whether the facility will feature a multi-colored waterfall flowing into a pool of pure gold inhabited by actual mermaids like Oregon’s athletic offices.
Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said that $12 million had already been raised and that the rest of the funds would be gathered through donations.
