Oklahoma State hires Kasey Dunn as RB coach

While they don’t yet have a coordinator to replace Dana Holgorsen, Oklahoma State has filled one of the offensive holes on Mike Gundy’s coaching staff.

The school announced Monday morning that Gundy has hired Kasey Dunn as their new running backs coach. Dunn will replace Robert Gillespie, who left with Holgorsen for West Virginia.

“Kasey is a good fit for our program,” Gundy said in a statement. “He has a wealth of experience coaching running backs and receivers, which is a great benefit in our offense. He’s a good recruiter and he will provide discipline and he will instill a strong work ethic in our running backs.”

Dunn spent 2010 as wide receivers coach at Southern Miss, and has also spent time on staffs at Arizona and TCU, among others.

With Dunn’s hiring, Gundy is still in need of an offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. The latter position came open last week when Gunter Brewer left to become receivers coach/passing game coordinator at Ole Miss.
