Jacoby Brissett reportedly tabs Gators over ‘Canes, others

Florida already has one highly-rated quarterback as a signed member of their 2011 recruiting class. Now, it appears the Gators are poised to add another into the mix.

First reported by the Palm Beach Post, and later confirmed by the Gainesville Sun, Jacoby Brissett has decided to sign a Letter of Intent with Florida, a decision that will be made public Friday night. The West Palm Beach product has yet to fax his signed LOI to the school, but that’s expected to happen before he makes his announcement.

In addition to Florida, Brissett had Miami, Wisconsin and Washington in his final four.

Brissett is rated as the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the country according to Rivals.com. He was the highest-rated unsigned QB left on Rivals’ board.

Jeff Driskel, the top-rated pro-style QB according to Rivals, has already enrolled at Florida and will participate in spring practice.
