Georgia announced via a press release Saturday afternoon that they’ve added a 26th member to their 2011 recruiting class, signing massive JUCO defensive tackle Jonathan Jenkins.
The 6-4, 340-pound Jenkins played last season at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Rivals.com had the lineman rated as the No. 7 JUCO prospect in the country.
Jenkins is expected to immediately become be the starter at nose tackle and anchor the Bulldogs’ defensive line.
In addition to Georgia, Jenkins had drawn significant interest from, among others, Florida and Miami.
