South Carolina won’t know until next week whether they’ll land star defensive end/freak of nature Jadeveon Clowney, but Steve Spurrier now knows he’ll move forward either way without lineman Tramell Williams.
Williams, a redshirt freshman, announced via Twitter (where all news stories are broken) of his plans to transfer to 1-AA program Alabama State.
“I’ve enjoyed my here its been fun gamecock fans. But its time too move on….. Alabama bound,” Williams tweeted.
Williams did not appear in a game this season and told GamecockCentral.com that he wanted more (any) playing time.

It’s time to move on? You mean move down.
I’m sure his heart is set on going to Alabama State to earn his degree and this has nothing to do with South Carolina signing 30 letters of intent and having to start moving kids out to make room. Sure this is the kids idea!!
That’s the way it guys move the deadbeats over for the good ones.
Probably a nice kid, but he did not play at all this year for a reason. Good luck to him
