Sun Devils RB gets shot in the buttocks

What’s being described as a random shooting has left Arizona State’s second-leading rusher hospitalized, the Arizona Republic is reporting.

According to the paper, freshman Deantre Lewis suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was shot in his backside in his hometown of Norco, Calif.

A school spokesperson confirmed to the Republic that Lewis was shot while visiting family.

Last season, Lewis’ 539 yards were good for second on the team.
