FSU’s Jermaine Thomas racks up another driving sans license charge

Jermaine Thomas, Chase Minnifield

Exactly a week ago today, word surfaced that Florida State running back Jermaine Thomas had been slapped with a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Today, it’s deja vu all over again.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Thomas was arrested last Thursday and charged with, you guessed it, driving with a suspended license.  It’s unclear what prompted police to pull Thomas over this time.

Last season, Thomas was third on the Seminoles with 490 yards rushing and tied for the team lead with six rushing touchdowns.

As we stated on our last post on the last report, it is a good thing he was not driving under the influence of anything which would put he and any others in danger. This probably does not put others in danger, but why is he doing this over and over again? He may need some help, a friend to drive, or something or he apparently will get tickets (and fines) pilling up. We are sure that someone on the FSU football staff is trying to help him resolve his issues before it gets even more adverse publicity for he or FSU.

southerpatriots, do you have multiple personalities, and do they share a username on CFT? I’m still trying to figure out why you use the first-person plural.

burntorangehorn: No disrespect, but you apparently have not read the numerous times we have explained this on CFT blogs on which you have commented. We are a family, by blood and by marriage of veterans, educators, alums, etc. now semi-retired and/or retired who follow SEC athletics in general, LSU in particular. We attended many hundreds of games over the past 50 plus years, work with several bowls and the charities which benefit from those bowls, such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, March of Dimes, and others, especially those which are concerned with children. That is a short synopsis of our lives and work. Two of us have been very ill the past few years, with numerous operations. I have experienced two surgeries since Christmas and another one possible soon. This has allowed some of us the time to post but then again has prevented us from posting at times. With the spring practices beginning with the Spring Games (media circus) to begin soon, we will travel to numerous SEC cities to visit with family and close friends and view the teams, God willing that we all can travel then. Thank you for your inquiry. My brother and my husband want me to write that we are all southern and all patriots, hence the name.

But surely you must not all agree on verbiage collectively each time you post, right? Why speak in the plural, then?

burntorangehorn: To this point there has always been more than one contributing to the posting. A few times we have all been here collectively adding parts of a posting. We established southernpatriots (also collaboratively) because there is more than one, we always assist one another on the postings. We do correct and contribute one anothers “verbiage”, that sometimes is the part we laugh the most about since it often is a compromise which is written.
