Getty ImagesAfter overtures to external candidates were politely rebuffed, Randy Edsall has settled on an internal candidate to become his new defensive coordinator.
According to a release issued by the school, Edsall has announced the promotion of Todd Bradford from inside linebackers coach to coordinator. Bradford was just hired to his previous position last month.
“I’m pleased to name Todd Bradford as our defensive coordinator and secondary coach,” Edsall said. “He will lead an aggressive, attacking and fundamentally sound defense that will work to cause turnovers and create disruption for opposing offenses. He brings great experience and knowledge to the position and has been successful throughout his career.”
Bradford had spent the past three seasons as Southern Miss’ coordinator. Prior to that, Bradford was linebackers coach at Oklahoma State as well as Louisiana Tech’s coordinator from 1997-2000.
In addition to Bradford’s hiring, Edsall also announced that Keith Dudzinski will take over as inside linebackers coach.
You’re really in for a treat Maryland!!!
Hahahaha. He’s your problem now.
