Starting Sooners DT busted for weed

In a somewhat stunning development, a college football player has been arrested on (gasp!) a marijuana charge. Shocking, no?

According to Tulsa World, Oklahoma defensive tackle Stacy McGee was cited this weekend on a complaint of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. McGee was pulled over Sunday evening and, during the course of the traffic stop, a Norman police officer noticed a joint and a grinder near McGee’s person.

McGee was cited and released following the traffic stop. Or, as the Daily Oklahoman put it, “McGee was allowed to do a sign and release.”

Last season as a sophomore, McGee started 10 or 11 of the Sooners’ 13 games, depending on the media source.
