Suspended ‘Bama lineman reportedly looking to transfer

An indefinite suspension during spring practice for violating unspecified team rules landed Alabama defensive lineman Brandon Moore in Nick Saban’s doghouse -- the length of which, obviously, was unspecified.

However, there are some new rumors floating around that suggest perhaps Moore has played his final snaps in a Crimson uniform, as TideSports.com is reporting that Moore is considering transferring from Tuscaloosa and is primarily considering taking the JUCO route at East Mississippi Community College.

As of now, though, Moore has been unavailable for comment and EMCC coach Buddy Stephens has refused to confirm the speculation. In fact, the only person seemingly willing to provide any insight on the situation is Saban.

“We had plans to talk to all these guys when school was out. The fact that school got cancelled has made it a little more difficult,” Saban said of his suspended player. “So the plan now is to wait until grades come in to further assess the situation. But he’s suspended indefinitely.”

Believe it or not, that statement would actually be considered more insightful than Saban’s original thought on Moore’s suspension:

We don’t know what’s happening there.”

Moore played in four games last season for the Tide, and heading into the spring, was expected to battle for more serious playing time.
