What, did you think you’d be able to get through a month without at least one update on the former Michigan/Miami quarterback?
A month after Tate Forcier abruptly decided against a transfer to Miami, and a week after reports surfaced allegedly involving Forcier hanging out of/dangling from a third-floor apartment window, the quarterback reportedly has a new collegiate destination in his sights.
By way of Angelique Chengalis of the Detroit News, NBC/San Francisco television anchor Raj Mathai tweeted Thursday that Forcier was visiting San Jose State that same day. An email sent to the school seeking confirmation of the visit has yet to be answered.
After months of speculation, Forcier confirmed — via Twitter — in January that he would be transferring from Michigan, where he had lost the starting he held as a true freshman to fellow sophomore Denard Robinson. In February, Forcier revealed that he would be transferring to the Hurricanes, but unexpectedly decided a couple of months later to look elsewhere for an opportunity.
Shortly after that unexpected about-face, it was reported that Forcier was considering Auburn, USC, San Diego State, Montana, Kansas State and San Diego State. The Trojans reportedly have no interest in the San Diego native.
