Texas receiver says adios

Somewhere between the headlines of players receiving impermissible benefits -- which, coincidentally enough, now involves the former school of our next subject -- has been the season of attrition as it continues through the summer months.

The latest player to move on from his school is Texas redshirt sophomore receiver Greg Timmons. Timmons, according to Orangebloods.com, decided to leave the school after an injury-filled career placed him far behind in the wide receiver depth chart.

Timmons was a four-star receiver out of Hightower H.S. in the greater Houston area and was an Army All-American.

Grambling State is reported to be the frontrunner for Timmons as a new destination.
