Father’s Day? Pfffttt, Arrest Day on CFT continues unabated as a pair of East Carolina football players found themselves on the wrong side of handcuffs following an incident early Saturday morning.
According to WITN-TV, defensive back Emanuel Davis and wide receiver Michael Bowman were arrested yesterday some time after midnight and hit with a pair of misdemeanors apiece. The duo was booted from a Greenville nightclub and, after the boot, were yelling and swearing in the street, prompting police to “intervene”.
Davis was charged with being intoxicated and disruptive in public and resisting a public officer, while Bowman was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a public officer.
The players were released from jail late yesterday morning after posting a pair of $3,000 bonds.
Davis, a senior, started all 13 games last season, and has started 27 of the 38 games in which he’s played the last three years. He was third on the team in tackles in 2010.
Bowman finished fourth on the team in receptions (47) and third in receiving yards (434). He started nine games in 2010.
