Gator players victimized in burglary

A 2008 BcS championship ring* was one of several items taken from the residence of a pair of Florida football players, the Gainesville Sun is reporting.

According to the paper, the home of running back Chris Rainey and cornerback Moses Jenkins was broken into at some point Sunday morning after the players had left the Gainesville residence.

The break-in, which occurred at some point between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., was discovered by one of the players’ girlfriends. The back door of the home had been kicked in, and the house had been ransacked.

In addition to Rainey’s title ring, 10 pairs of Jenkins’ shoes, a Gucci duffel bag, a television and a Sony PlayStation were taken from the home during the robbery.

(*to answer your question, no, Terrelle Pryor is not a suspect as far as we know.)
