If nothing else, this offseason has lent itself to head-scratching arrests on the part of Div. 1-A football players. Thanks to a brand-new Iowa State Cyclone, that “WTH/F???” legal trend has continued.
According to the Ames Tribune, freshman running back DeVondrick Nealy was cited Sunday by Iowa State police for harassment of a public official. As has normally been the case of late, however, the devil of the citation is in the details.An officer was summoned to the corner of Stange Road and Pammel Drive at 2:39 a.m. because a group was carrying a weapon and shooting things on campus, according to a police report.
Nealy was told to get and stay on the ground by an officer, but when the officer went to assist a fellow policeman Nealy got up and started walking north on Stange. A BB gun was found on Nealy.

As a result of doing his best Baby Face*-with-a-BB gun, Nealy has been suspended indefinitely by the program.
Nealy is a member of the Cyclones’ newly-minted 2011 recruiting class and had recently arrived on campus according to the Tribune. He was rated as the No. 9 all-purpose back in the country according to Rivals.com.
