As the headline oh-so-gently suggests, Arkansas offensive lineman Anthony Oden has found himself in a wee bit of a legal pickle. Or he was a wee bit pickled as he found the legal stuff.
One of the two. Or both.
Regardless, Oden was hit with multiple charges following a traffic stop Saturday morning in Fayetteville. According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Oden was charged with driving while intoxicated — he was booked into jail at 8:52 a.m. local time, incidentally — possession of a controlled substance, driving left of the center line, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, no proof of ownership, driving on a suspended/revoked driver’s license and no driver’s license.
Last July, Oden was charged with DWI, careless driving and driving without a license, so his future with the Razorbacks — a future that was thought to include competing for a starting tackle job in summer camp — is very much up in the air.
Oden, a junior, was listed as the co-starter heading into spring practice.
Man that sucks for Hogs fans. I heard this guy was pretty solid. If he played for South Carolina he wouldn’t miss a down.
You just can’t resist can you!!! Enough of you smart a$$ comments on the SEC.
be4bama: He has SEC envy. Don’t worry, this year it will hit him harder than ever!
Shocker, another South East Correctional player catching a charge!
Nice Fooch. SEC is a league of criminals.
SEC fan are in denial that they’re winning programs are the dirtiest of them all.
