He was on hold while the hosts were essentially ripping IU and seconds later want to try to conduct an impartial interview with him? And were shocked when Wilson wasn’t okay with their setup to their ‘joke’. He was in between practice, took time out of his day, and took over a program that is tired of being a joke… good for him for standing up to it.

Great response too when he reminded Jack that his NW Wildcats put up a throttling of his Illini while saying NW was a mess just a few years before and he was trying to do the same thing @ IU.

IU fans are thrilled with Wilson so far. Landed Gunner Kiel (the #1 Pro Style QB in 2012), a solid TE, brought in Ekelar from Nebraska, and have an incredible new Football HQ/Facility. Wilson has all the pieces right now to build something @ IU especially with Big Ten down a little.

NOW.. the hosts’ tirade AFTER the coach leaves was too much. But I gotta say I can’t blame them.. the coach was a fool.

I’m not an Indiana fan, nor a hater.

But if I were a fan, I would be so happy that this guy is our coach.

Jim Rome, Petros and Money, and Tony Bruno all make FSR worth listening to; DP, not so much. Give Clear Channel credit for pulling that loudmouthed asshole, Stephan A(sshole) Smith from the conservative markets that couldn’t stand him.

IU is not known for its strong football history, that’s for sure. Nonetheless, if someone like Trudeau cuts down my program I’m going to respond.

Finally, if you want to hold up Jack Trudeau as some fine example then investigate his record on hosting underage drinking parties at his home outside Indy and the other legal issues he and other family members have had.

If being a jerk is your calling card and people tune in to hear that then you better be ready for something like this. Way to go coach.

First of all, Jack Trudeau just acted like a complete clown on the air. He took obvious cheap shots before the broadcast and egged Wilson on after Wilson made his point to lay off.

Now, Wilson should have made his point and moved on, so he was a bit of a tool as well by continuing to dwell on it.

I’m sorry though, as someone who has hosted a heck of a lot more, on my “Jerk-O-Meter”, Wilson gets a 2 and Trudeau gets a 10.

Wilson is going to protect his program. No, he shouldn’t have been that short and shouldn’t have dwelled quite as long, but Trudeau acted like a child.

“I’m going to tell everyone I meet today what a jerk he was and tell Ron Zook to run up the score on him.”

Jack, I’ve talked to Ron Zook before. Ron Zook can be just as much of a jerk as Kevin Wilson was to you just then if you treat him the same way you just did.

Also, don’t start the “who cares about Indiana Football” crap. Obviously you cared if you scheduled him to come on your show.

I personally don’t care about Indiana Football at all, but he did a good enough job to get Gunner Kiel, the No. 1 QB in the country this year.

I’m not tossing blame, but it seemed to me as though the host(s) tried to turn themselves into martyrs there.

The coach gives them back some of their own medicine so they hang up on him and go on and on about how rude he was.

Those idiots need to grow a set. Douche bags.

Trudeau is usually pretty good, but he shouldn’t be taking shots at IU becuase of their history or lack thereof.
C’mon Jack, what did you really ever accomplish at Illinois. Oh yeah, you went to the Rose Bowl where you got hammered 45-9 by UCLA and then allowed alcohol brought in by students for a high scholl graduation party at your house.

The word is they had him on hold for awhile, and made several comments basically mocking IU over the years.

The chances of him going on that show again are as good as the chances Bob Knight returns to IU to coach football. They both went on to rip him, even saying they were going to call other coaches and encourage they run the score up on him.

The interview was just an example of miscommunication and poor taste in jokes. The post interview tirade was just pathetic.

Wilson should have just hung up, but he’s not as much of a jerk as I initially thought.
