Just a handful of days before the start of their 2011 regular season, Louisville has a late addition to the roster.
What was first reported Sunday night was confirmed by head coach Charlie Strong Monday: cornerback Adrian Bushell is now a member of the Cardinals football program. Bushell has already participated in two practices, but Strong said he won’t be available for the opener Thursday.
He is eligible to play this season, however, after spending last year at Coffeyville (KS) Community College.
Bushell began his collegiate career at Florida, but decided to transfer in May of 2010 after missing all of spring practice due to academic issues. As a four-star member of UF’s 2008 recruiting class, Bushell was rated as the No. 15 athlete in the country by Rivals.com.
